Wear a Renaissance-themed outfit and head to Ye Olde Downtown Salisbury on Friday, Aug. 16, for 3rd Friday: Ye Olde Downtown.  


Third Friday, a free arts event held in Downtown Salisbury on the third Friday of each month, runs from 5-8 p.m. This year, 3rd Friday has a new layout, including the Downtown Plaza (West Main Street from West Market Street to North Division Street), Division Street next to the parking garage, and Unity Square.

Third Friday includes arts, music, and crafters and vendors set up outdoors. Attendees are also encouraged to shop and dine at local businesses.




Enjoy live music by Delmarva Bay Brass at Unity Square and Hugh Ellis Bennett on the Downtown Plaza. Mathieu Therres of Mathieu Glass Art will demonstrate glassblowing at Unity Square.

The Salisbury Art Space will host a 3rd Friday reception for “Transitions” from 5-7 p.m. during 3rd Friday. A little earlier in the day, the Wicomico Public Library Sarbanes Branch features Craft Club for kids from 2-4 p.m.


Board & Brush will offer a Pick Your Project workshop for ages 16 and older from 6-9 p.m.; preregistration is required at boardandbrush.com/salisbury. Delmarva Home Grown features multiple specials in the shop.


Hear music across Downtown Salisbury, as well. MoJo’s hosts AJ the DJ from 9 p.m.-close, Market Street Inn hosts DJ Nick at Nite from 9 p.m.-1 a.m., and Brew River will have live music by the Bone Daddies from 6-10 p.m. and the sounds of DJ Str8 Up from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Brooks Flaherty is set to play outdoors at the Evolution Craft Brewing Co. Public House from 6-9 p.m.


Third Friday, sponsored by 47 ABC - WMDT, is requiring free registration for 2024 for vendors, community groups, performers and volunteers. Registration and more information can be found on our home page.

Celebrate “Urban Artscapes” during July’s 3rd Friday event, which is set for July 19.

Enjoy live music by Sympaticocious at Unity Square and by Bill Zee the Party Shaker on the Plaza. Heart & Sole will do a live step dance performance on the Plaza at 6 p.m., and dancers from Footsteps Dance Academy will perform at Unity Square at 7 p.m.


Urban printmaking returns from last year. With urban printmaking, attendees can make art prints on fabric using textures found outside, such as storm drain covers. People can also make their own art by plein air painting at Unity Square or another location of their choice. Those who would like to take part in painting should bring their own paints, paper and easel if they have them; limited materials will be available while supplies last.


The Salisbury Art Space will host an opening reception for its Members Showcase during 3rd Friday from 5-7 p.m. The exhibit is sponsored by the Whaley Family Foundation. At the nearby Salisbury University Art Galleries | Downtown, visit the “Exploring Identity Through Diversity: Han-mee Artists Association” exhibit.


Lurking Class Skate Shop will host an all-ages show featuring Heartbent, Eric Raven and Silithyst for $15, with doors at 7 p.m. and music beginning at 8 p.m. MoJo’s will feature DJ Kenny Flight from 9 p.m.-1 a.m., and Brew River will host On the Edge from 6-10 p.m. and DJ Str8Up from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

June’s 3rd Friday is sure to be “Wheely Fun,” with a theme that celebrates wheels of all kinds – bicycles, skateboards, roller skates and cars. This month’s 3rd Friday is set for Friday, June 21, from 5-8 p.m.


Third Friday is a free arts event held in Downtown Salisbury on the third Friday of each month. This year, 3rd Friday has a new layout, including the Downtown Plaza (West Main Street from West Market Street to North Division Street), Division Street next to the parking garage, and Unity Square.


For June, a Downtown Business District will be on South Division Street next to Unity Square, a car show will be on East Main Street near the Circuit Courthouse, and a mobile skate park will be set up on North Division Street between Route 50 and Main Street.


Third Friday will again feature two live music performances – the Shore Blues Band at Unity Square and Island Fusion on the Plaza.  


Members of the Washington Street Warehouse will offer skateboarding lessons, and Chicks in Bowls Maryland will offer roller skating lessons. Attendees can also learn about and donate to a future skatepark in Berlin.  


Salisbury’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee, or BPAC, will offer its usual bike valet, watching bikes for free for people who ride to 3rd Friday between 5-8 p.m. BPAC will also offer group bike rides. There will also be an on-site “Mountain Bike Experience.”


Attendees can vote for their favorite car in the car show, and shop and dine at Downtown businesses.


Atlantis Tattoo & Art Gallery is running a flash tattoo fundraiser for the Salisbury Zoo from June 21-23 in which a portion of proceeds from $50-100 zoo animal-themed tattoos will benefit the Salisbury Zoo.


The Salisbury Art Space will host a 3rd Friday reception for its “Summertime Bluez” and “Pride Month with PFLAG” exhibits during 3rd Friday from 5-7 p.m. At the Salisbury University Art Galleries | Downtown, there will be an opening reception for “Exploring Identity Through Diversity: Han-mee Artists Association” from 5-7 p.m. during 3rd Friday.

Lurking Class Skate Shop will host Filth, Nine Dead, A Wake in Providence and Resistor for a show, with doors at 6 p.m. Market Street Inn hosts DJ Kenny Flight from 9 p.m.-1 a.m., MoJo’s hosts AJ the DJ from 9 p.m.-close, and Brew River will feature The Salt Life Band from 6-10 p.m., Best Kept Soul from 8 p.m.-midnight and DJ Str8 Up starting at 9 p.m.
