From coffee to beer and more, brew up a good time during the February 3rd Friday event, which has a theme of “FeBREWary.” Third Friday is Friday, Feb. 16, and runs from 5-8 p.m.

Third Friday does not feature outdoor activities during the winter months, but people are encouraged to visit Downtown Salisbury restaurants and shops.

The Salisbury Art Space will host a reception for its Member Showcase from 5-7 p.m. during 3rd Friday. Stay at the Salisbury Art Space for an open mic night, held in partnership with the Fenix Youth Project, at 7 p.m.

Nearby at the Salisbury University Art Galleries’ Downtown Gallery, visit the opening reception of “Flight or Fight,” featuring works by Christine Tyler, Michel Demanche and Caitlin Gill, which will run from 5-7 p.m. on 3rd Friday. The exhibit will run through March 29.

Two Scoops Ice Cream & Waffles will premiere a Bali Roast from Iron Skillet Coffee and offer chocolate and coffee samples. Mad Tatter Social Club will feature a $50 tattoo flash sale.

Local restaurants will feature live music and DJs during 3rd Friday. Brew River Restaurant and Bar will host Fred Martin & The Evolution from 7-11 p.m. and DJ Str8 Up from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. DJ Nick at Nite will play at MoJo’s Urban Eatery from 9 p.m.-1 a.m. At Market Street Inn, watch The Mercury Agenda from 6-9 p.m. and listen to DJ Vibe from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

Several Downtown Salisbury businesses are featuring specials during 3rd Friday: Winter Style on Friday, Jan. 19.  

While 3rd Friday does not feature outdoor activities during the winter months, people are encouraged to visit “The Beacon of Hope,” a traveling monument of Harriet Tubman created by Wesley Wofford that is located outside near the Government Office Building, before it moves on to its next location Jan. 31. 3rd Friday hours are 5-8 p.m.

The Salisbury Art Space will host a 3rd Friday reception for its Member Showcase, featuring all types of media, from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 19. Stop by nearby Board & Brush and purchase a do-it-yourself Be My Valentine Bucket for $25, while supplies last. 

Two Downtown tattoo shops will be offering specials during 3rd Friday. Mad Tatter will have a $50 flash and gumball special, and Atlantis Tattoo & Art Gallery will have a $50 tattoo flash sale, with larger designs offered at $150 (some flash designs are shown in the photo below). Atlantis will also offer piercings for $13 each.  

Looking for live music? Brew River Restaurant & Bar will host Best Kept Soul from 7-11 p.m. and DJ First Class beginning at 9 p.m. Market Street Inn will host DJ Vibe from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

The outdoor 3rd Friday season has ended, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had in Downtown Salisbury for 3rd Friday, which is Dec. 15. This month’s theme is December Fest.  

It’s the perfect time for holiday shopping, and Downtown businesses offer a variety of great gifts and treats.  

Blackwater Apothecary will be hosting a Witchy Wreath Workshop with Seraphic Blooming Company during 3rd Friday from 6-8 p.m. People can preregister to construct their own wreaths for $45 at  

Choose a project to create during a public Pick Your Project Workshop at Board & Brush from 6-9 p.m. during 3rd Friday. There are a variety of home décor options available, and attendees will be walked through the process. The workshop is $73/person, and preregistration is required at   

The Salisbury Art Space will host a Members Exhibition and Holiday Bazaar with artisan vendors from 5-8 p.m. on 3rd Friday. 

Join Beauty Blooms during 3rd Friday at the shop, located at 111 W. Main St. on the Plaza. From 3-7 p.m., discover fresh holiday floral arrangements, flower bunches, and the chance to fill your own vase – bring your favorite vessels, and our designer will create a stunning arrangement for you. Explore cute holiday clothes, hats, accessories, and unique gifts. Place flower delivery orders right at the shop for Dec. 20 delivery, and enjoy free local delivery. Don’t miss a 40% off special on all bridal accessories.

The City of Salisbury is hosting cottage food vendors in Santa’s Snack Shop, located on the food truck pad near the parking garage, during the month of December. On Dec. 15, De’Carlas Treats will be set up with baked goods in the shop from noon-6 p.m. 

The Salisbury Holiday Hunt also continues through the month of December. There’s still time to sign up for this app-based scavenger hunt that has clues in the Downtown Salisbury area and beyond. Free registration is available at
