Enjoy an exciting evening of science, music, and community fun in the heart of downtown! October’s 3rd Friday will feature hands-on science experiments with local mad scientists, a spooky Halloween performance by Feet of Fire, and some groovin’ live music.

Get ready to dive into the weird and wonderful world of science with interactive experiments like slime, oobleck, DNA extraction, and more! Our mad scientist partners include Minds in Motion, Delmarva Discovery Museum, Salisbury University, and The Night Watch Childcare—all bringing fun, curiosity, and a little bit of messy magic to downtown.

This month’s live music lineup features Rachel Jayne & Friends at Unity Square and Josh Pryor on the Plaza, setting the perfect soundtrack for a night of science, creativity, and community celebration.

Downtown Salisbury is getting funky on Friday, August 15th from 5 to 8 PM for a Timewarp Disco celebration you won’t want to miss! 3rd Friday is back and ready to transport you through time with retro-inspired fun for all ages.

This month’s theme is Timewarp Disco, so break out your bell bottoms, sequins, and platform shoes because it’s time to hit the dance floor and celebrate summer with style! The downtown streets will be alive with live dance performances, groovy music, and family-friendly fun.

Here’s what to expect:

💃 Live Dance Performances: Enjoy high-energy routines from The Creative Movement, D'Ann Danse, and Feet of Fire that bring disco to life!
🎶 Live Music: Funky beats and timeless tunes by Sympaticocious and Sam & Friends will keep the vibe going all evening long.
🎨 Kids Activities: Creative and engaging activities just for kids! Enjoy crafts, face painting, the splash pad and more!
🛍️ Craft Vendors: Stroll downtown and checkout one of our 100+ local vendors. Support your local artists by shopping small or check out one of our community groups!
🎒 Back to School Resources: Community partners will be onsite with helpful info and giveaways to get families ready for the school year.
🍔 Local Eats & Drinks: Enjoy delicious bites and beverages from downtown restaurants.

Join us on Friday, July 18 for “I Spy Art,” a theme that invites you to look a little closer and discover the artistic gems all around you.

Explore our walkable downtown and enjoy Salisbury’s public art walking tour, meet members of the City’s Public Art Committee, and discover one-of-a-kind finds from local artisans and vendors. Bring the whole family for an evening of creative fun, community connection, and hands-on experiences.

Live music will keep the vibe going strong, with Homeskool Dropouts rocking Unity Square and Tyler and Friend performing on the Main Street Plaza. In the Activity Area, don’t miss your chance to take part in a collaborative street mural with We Are Limitless—everyone’s invited to help create a piece of public art.
