July 16, 2021 is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury. 3rd Friday will be held outdoors, with artists and crafters filling the streets, live music, and special events. This month’s theme is Photo Hunt – with scavenger hunts, photo ops and contests, cool demos, live music and more.

On N. Division Street check out live music with Full Disclosure, and grab info on, not one, but two scavenger hunts!


3rd Friday excited to partner with ColorWalk Cards to offer a FREE ColorWalk Card Community Photo Scavenger Hunt. Stop by the ColorWalk Cards table on N. Division Street to grab your 3 ColorWalk Cards, then find as many things as you can in Downtown Salisbury that match the colors of your cards & snap a pic. Your ColorWalk Card must also be in the picture - post your pics either on Facebook or Instagram, tagging @ColorWalkCards + using the hashtag #3rdFridayColorWalk .Make sure your posts are public for a chance to win great prizes donated from local downtown businesses like Soul Yoga, The Ugly Pie, Blushed Beauty Studio, and The Mudhud: Clay Art Studio.

Check out the 3rd Friday table on N. Division Street for another social media-based photo hunt – featuring architectural elements from Downtown Salisbury’s gorgeous buildings. First person to find and post all 12 clues will receive a $100 gift certificate to the Downtown Salisbury business of their choice. For even more treasure hunt themed adventures, check out National Treasure at the City of Salisbury’s Movies on the River, held just after 3rd Friday at the Riverwalk Amphitheater, its free to attend with showtime at 8:45 p.m.

On the Plaza, Honest 5 Dog Treats will be offering for free pet portraits with the purchase of their all-natural pet food or treats. Kids can stop by the Eastern Shore Ballet Theatre booth for photo ops with the Rose Fairy in front of the Land of Sweets backdrop. Salisbury University is celebrating their Summer Enrichment Academies with multiple fun 3rd Friday displays; check out the Slime Academy located in Salisbury University Art Galleries – Downtown Gallery, plus a live raku ceramics demo outside on Main Street.

Check out SPLASH, a water-themed exhibition on display at Salisbury Art Space featuring art submitted by local artists in a variety of mediums, sponsored by the Whaley Family Foundation. The show was judged by local artists and physicians Laura Mayer Kelley and Leslie Belloso, whose art will be on display in the Foyer Gallery area. Salisbury Art Space will be open from noon to 8 p.m. on 3rd Friday, and is located on the lowest level of the Salisbury University Building.


3rd Friday will no longer require facemasks for outdoor activities, but please remember masks could still be required inside. The 3rd Friday’s virtual event on Facebook will continue to share event and community highlights for those who choose to continue to social distance.

June 18, 2021 is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury. 3rd Friday will be held outdoors, with artists and crafters filling the streets, live music, and special events. This month’s theme is Paw Prints – so grab a leash, and the pooch – and head on out to Downtown Salisbury!


Paw Prints is always a fan favorite theme every year, and well-behaved pets are welcome to come enjoy the crowds. Wicomico Humane Society will be there with adoption info, and K-9 Legend Family Dog Training will be on-site doing live training demos. Check out Honest 5 Dog Treats, Downtown Salisbury’s newest retail shop specializing in 100% natural food for dogs, as they celebrate the Paw Prints theme with free pet portraits inside, and a cornhole game outside with donation proceeds benefiting the Wicomico Humane Society. St. Peters Episcopal Church will be hosting their annual Blessing of the Animals at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in the courtyard, complete with family-friendly prices burgers and hotdogs.

On North Division Street, stop by the 3rd Friday table for pet paintings – a safe and easy craft for pups of all sizes that ends up creating a work of art you can keep fur-ever! There will also be live music on the main stage by the Permilla Project with their funky blend of rock favorites and a special dance performance at 5:30 p.m. from the Footsteps Dance Academy. The Wicomico Library Reader Van will be out for a “Tails and Tales” themed Summer Reading Kick-Off with free books and goodie bag giveaways for everyone. For even more animal themed adventures, check out The Jungle Book at the City of Salisbury’s Movies on the River, held just after 3rd Friday at the Riverwalk Amphitheater, its free to attend with showtime at 8:45 p.m.

The show was judged by local artists and physicians Laura Mayer Kelley and Leslie Belloso, whose art will be on display in the Foyer Gallery area. The winners will be announced during a special 3rd Friday reception from 5 – 7 p.m., with cash prizes for first, second and third place winners.


If you’re headed out this 3rd Friday, be sure to support some of the amazing local shops and restaurants in Downtown Salisbury. Lilac Clothing Company will be celebrating their one-year anniversary with special sales, $10 gift certificates for anyone who brings in a donation for the Wicomico Humane Society and a drink station outside the shop for any thirsty pups. Soul Yoga Studio will be having a public class from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. plus check out their new merchandise and reiki offerings.

May 21, 2021 is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury. 3rd Friday is held outdoors, with artists and crafters filling the streets, live music, new cottage food vendors and special events all across Downtown. This month’s theme is Wheels – so get ready for highlights like a 3rd Friday car show, pottery wheel demos, skateboards, bike to work week incentives and more.

3rd Friday is celebrating Wheels this year with its first ever 3rd Friday Car Show on Main Street, complete with 35 cars of a variety of styles, from classic cars and nostalgic throw backs to modern cars with custom modification.


3rd Friday attendees can vote on their favorites, with the winners announced at 7:30 p.m. with cash prizes and a trophy for first place.


For more wheels, check out Lurking Class Skate Shop for ramp access and all things skateboards – and The MudHud: Clay Art Studio for pottery wheel demos, a covid-19 themed art show, and 30% off paint-your-own pottery.


On North Division Street, check out live music with AMP Studios: Academy of Music Performance bands on Government Office Building Steps, plus at 5:30 p.m. 3rd Friday is pleased to welcome home Mayor Jacob Day, with a few special remarks. Everyone is invited to visit the City of Salisbury’s Welcome Home tent on Division Street where Jake will be waiting to greet everyone. Attendees can also write cards and notes, and create chalk messages to welcome him back home after his deployment to Africa.


After 3rd Friday, head on over to the Amphitheater for the City of Salisbury’s Movies on the River, this month featuring Onward with an 8:30 p.m. showtime!



Salisbury Art Space is exhibiting work from the Lower Shore Addiction Awareness Visual Arts Competition sponsored by the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore. The art competition asked students to explore the theme of addiction awareness and recovery and was open to middle and high school students in the surrounding four counties. Stop by Salisbury Art Space from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. to check out all of the submissions and support the critical conversations that their art encourages in keeping opioid addiction awareness, and hope for recovery, integrated in our community and family conversations. Salisbury Art Space will also be hosting a Gently Used Book Sale Fundraiser, with hundreds of books all priced between $1 and $5, with a variety of topics ranging from artist bios, art instruction and photography to new age, meditation, yoga, gardening and more.
