Salisbury, MD: February 18, 2022 the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury, and it is the perfect excuse to get bundled up and head out for a night downtown. This month's event is hosted indoors only - so that means no artists and crafters outside on the street - but there is still tons to do and see inside. From shops and galleries, to restaurants and live entertainment, there is always something for everyone to enjoy.

Downtown Salisbury is celebrating the month of 'FeBREWary' with a MD Craft Beer Scavenger Hunt, now with ten participating locations. This annual tradition gives participants the entire month of February to collect five signatures on their gamecard for enjoying MD Craft beer at Downtown restaurants, with the chance of winning great prizes. Pick up a gamecard at the participating locations, the Downtown Salisbury Visitor Center, or print online – and remember, please enjoy responsibly.


Art lovers, be sure to check out Salisbury University Art Galleries’ all new exhibition The Fabric of Being, with a special opening reception on 3rd Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Fabric of Being presents four artists’ distinct approaches to reflecting the current moment of being. The works weave together materials and meaning in ways that mimic the complexities of life, resulting in beautifully palpable artifacts. Artists Fina Grimes, John Paul Morabito, Leigh Merrill and Neil Daigle Orians work includes photography, sculpture, fabric, video and more – now on display through March 5th.


Salisbury Art Space also be hosting a reception on 3rd Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. to celebrate the winners of their 2022 Members Exhibition, open to all Salisbury Art Space member artists. Stop by and enjoy a wide range of works and styles, and see what Salisbury’s local artists have to offer. Salisbury Art Space’s gift shop will also be open until 7 p.m., with locally handmade items for sale handcrafted by local artists on consignment. Salisbury Art Space is located on the lowest level of the Salisbury University Building, below Salisbury University Art Galleries.


February is Black History Month, and now thanks to the Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture's digital walking tour - we can all engage with the Salisbury’s rich Black history in a brand new way! The tour takes participants through the history of the Georgetown neighborhood, Houston Cemetery, John Wesley ME Church, Lake Street entertainment district, Wicomico County Courthouse, and more. Learn about the leadership and successes of people like Solomon Houston, Dr. Charles H. Chipman, and Audrey Jackson Matthews, as well as the tragedies of lynching, segregation, and 'urban renewal', as this tour takes you from the downtown Salisbury parking garage to sites that inspire reflection on the story of Salisbury's Black history. Looking for live entertainment? Revival, downtown Salisbury’s all new entertainment venue, will be hosting Country Queens – A Country Drag Show, a special event celebrating the art of drag complete with comedy, costumes, glamour, and FUN with your hostess Magnolia Applebottom. Tickets are only $20 and are available online or at the door. Revival is located on the 3rd Floor of the City Center Building.


Concerned about social distance, not to worry! 3rd Friday’s virtual event will continue to share event and community highlights for those who choose stay at home. Facemasks aren’t required in some shops, but could be required in others, so bring one just in case.

Salisbury Art Space will be hosting the opening reception for an all new 2022 Members Exhibition, open to all Salisbury Art Space members and all mediums. Stop by and enjoy a wide range of works and styles, and see what Salisbury’s local artists have to offer. Salisbury Art Space’s gift shop will also be open until 7 p.m., with locally handmade items for sale handcrafted by local artists on consignment. Salisbury Art Space is located on the lowest level of the Salisbury University Building.

Salisbury, MD: December 17th, 2021 is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury. This month's event is hosted indoors only - so that means no artists and crafters outside on the street - but there is still tons to do and see inside! So, don your ugliest sweater for a night of shopping and the arts.

Photo ops abound on N. Division Street with the Holiday Tree illuminated complete with a Hanukkah Menorah and Kwanzaa Kinara. Santa’s Workshop and Mailbox are also on N. Division Street – kids can drop Santa a letter or stop by Saturday afternoon to visit him in person. For more Christmas charm, visit Wicomico Presbyterian’s Open House located just north of Route 50 in Newtown, and enjoy the sanctuary beautifully decorated for the Holidays, outdoor luminaries and Christmas music on the organ.

Shoppers, check out Salisbury Art Space’s Annual Holiday Bazaar open late from 5 – 8 p.m. for a wide variety of locally handmade gifts and fine art made by Salisbury Art Space’s talented members. Blackwater Apothecary is hosting a Holiday Mini Market and a Yule Log Workshop – check out featured vendors like Vidalia’s Goods, Mrs. Fancy Plants, Red Wine Vintage, Mouthy Broad and the Bug Boutique. The DIY Yule Log Workshop hosted by Vidalia’s Goods has limited seating so sign-up early to learn about yule and create your own yule log candle holder to light your hearth through the longest night of the year. Revival, Downtown Salisbury’s all new entertainment venue, is hosting “Dial S for Santa” an interactive Holiday Mystery Dinner hosted by Ovation Dinner Theatre. “Dial S for Santa” is a festive comic mystery all about discovering who kidnapped Santa Claus! Tickets are on sale now and includes dinner featuring bacon wrapped figs stuffed with goat cheese, classic Italian lasagna and eggnog crème brule. Revival is located on the third floor of the City Center Building.
