Plunge into fun Friday, July 21, at the July 3rd Friday event, which features a Water World theme.
Artists and crafters will line the streets of Downtown Salisbury from 5-8 p.m. as The Mercury Agenda plays live music. Merman and mermaid entertainers Kael Masters and Cheyenne Jones will be on-site, and attendees can take part in Splash Zone activities including water balloon fights, a human car wash, bubble machines and more.
Board the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center’s Fishmobile to learn about oysters and other animals that live in and around the Chesapeake Bay. Attendees can also learn about an upcoming Nanticoke River Invasive Fishing Tournament, presented by Salisbury University, from Noah Bressman, who will be set up outside SU’s Dave and Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship during 3rd Friday. The tournament is set for July 23.
Visit the Salisbury Art Space to see “The Visionary Art of KT Tuminello” exhibition, which runs from July 12-Aug. 4 and is sponsored by the Whaley Family Foundation.
Businesses are also getting in on the 3rd Friday fun.
There will be a grand opening for the new AAA office at 234 W. Main St. on Thursday, July 20, with part two of the event on July 21.
Feeling crafty? Create a floral arrangement at Beauty Blooms during 3rd Friday or participate in a make-and-take workshop at Board & Brush.
Afterward, watch the Women's World Cup at a watch party upstairs at Roadie Joe's, as the United States takes on Vietnam. The game starts at 9 p.m.
There is no charge for artists to participate in 3rd Friday as vendors, but advance registration is required.
