Plunge into fun Friday, July 21, at the July 3rd Friday event, which features a Water World theme.



Artists and crafters will line the streets of Downtown Salisbury from 5-8 p.m. as The Mercury Agenda plays live music. Merman and mermaid entertainers Kael Masters and Cheyenne Jones will be on-site, and attendees can take part in Splash Zone activities including water balloon fights, a human car wash, bubble machines and more.


Board the Phillips Wharf Environmental Center’s Fishmobile to learn about oysters and other animals that live in and around the Chesapeake Bay. Attendees can also learn about an upcoming Nanticoke River Invasive Fishing Tournament, presented by Salisbury University, from Noah Bressman, who will be set up outside SU’s Dave and Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship during 3rd Friday. The tournament is set for July 23.


Visit the Salisbury Art Space to see “The Visionary Art of KT Tuminello” exhibition, which runs from July 12-Aug. 4 and is sponsored by the Whaley Family Foundation.


Businesses are also getting in on the 3rd Friday fun.


There will be a grand opening for the new AAA office at 234 W. Main St. on Thursday, July 20, with part two of the event on July 21.


Feeling crafty? Create a floral arrangement at Beauty Blooms during 3rd Friday or participate in a make-and-take workshop at Board & Brush.


Afterward, watch the Women's World Cup at a watch party upstairs at Roadie Joe's, as the United States takes on Vietnam. The game starts at 9 p.m.


There is no charge for artists to participate in 3rd Friday as vendors, but advance registration is required.



June's 3rd Friday event will bring paw-some fun to Downtown Salisbury on June 16 from 5-8 p.m.


This month’s theme is "Paw Prints," a fan favorite that encourages bringing well-behaved pets along for a night out Downtown. Artists and crafters will line the streets and Wavvy Gravy will play rock music.

The Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club will be set up on the Government Office Building lawn for a “Get to Know Your SMKC” event. Festivities will include dog sport demos, presentations on safety around dogs, giveaways and educational materials promoting responsible dog ownership. The evening will culminate with a mini obedience session for dogs and their people.


3rd Friday attendees are invited to dine with their dogs at outdoor patios at The Brick Room, Market Street Inn, MoJo’s Urban Eatery, Mogan’s Oyster House, Brew River Restaurant & Bar, Mad Hatter Café/The Looking Glass, Evolution Craft Brewing, Two Scoops Ice Cream & Waffles and Roadie Joe’s. Brew River Restaurant & Bar will feature the On the Edge Band from 6-10 p.m. and DJ Tailor-Made from 9 p.m.-1 a.m.

The Wicomico Public Library’s Reader Van will provide a paw print craft, and Blackwater Apothecary will offer one-card tarot readings. 3rd Friday attendees can walk into Board & Brush to make their own paw-print-themed signs, and shop at SBY Home Décor for 15 percent off.


The Salisbury Art Space’s June exhibition, “By the Sea,” celebrates the Eastern Shore summer experience, allowing artists to share what they love about summer by the water. It is sponsored by the Whaley Family Foundation and judged by Julie Belloso. A special exhibition featuring The Attic Artists group will be on display in the Robinson Gallery.


The Salisbury University Art Galleries’ Downtown Gallery will feature an exhibition called “Kip Incheck: A Life’s Work and Legacy,” which includes Incheck’s artwork and a collection of masks. Proceeds from artwork sales will benefit the Cavallaro & Cleary Visual Art Foundation’s Scholarship Fund for students continuing their studies in the visual arts. A reception will be held June 16 from 5-7 p.m.


3rd Friday is a downtown economic development initiative and a project of the Salisbury Arts & Entertainment District, in partnership with the City of Salisbury. There is no charge for artists to participate, but advance registration is required.



3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury | May 19, 2023


Salisbury, MD: May 19, 2023 is the next 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury, with artists and crafters lining the streets, live music outside and loads of special activities. This month’s theme is Wheels, with everything from pottery wheels to skateboards, bicycles and souped-up cars. Art and hobbies collide this 3rd Friday, so get ready for a night of art, entertainment and fun.

On Main Street, check out the 3rd Friday Car Show with our community’s coolest cars of all styles and varieties competing for prizes and one amazing trophy. 3rd Friday coincides with National Bike to Work Day and the City of Salisbury is celebrating with a complimentary bike valet hosted by Salisbury’s B-PAC - Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee. Lurking Class Skate Shop will be hosting a Skate Ramp Zone on Main Street open to all ages and skill levels, just bring your own helmet and guardian if you’re under 18 years old. On North Division Street, check out live pottery wheel demonstrations with Amused Studios, plus live music from AMP Studios.

Salisbury Art Space will be hosting the opening reception for the United Way’s 2023 Lower Shore Addiction Awareness Art Competition. This moving competition showcases entries from high school students in Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties exploring the theme of addiction awareness and recovery. The critical conversations that their art encourages are key to keeping opioid addiction awareness, and hope for recovery integrated in our community and family conversations. The reception and award ceremony will be held on 3rd Friday from 5 – 7 p.m. with the exhibition on display now through May 26th.

Salisbury University Art Galleries will also be open late with the 68th Biannual Senior Art Show: Elevator Daze featuring the work of this years Fine Arts B.F.A. Graduates. Elevator Daze features painting, mixed media, sculpture and installation works all from Fine Art Majors marking the end of the students’ undergraduate careers and the beginning of their professional lives. Salisbury University Art Galleries will be open on 3rd Friday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Shoppers be sure to stop by SBY Home Décor for 15% off all furniture and home décor this 3rd Friday. Blackwater Apothecary will also be celebrating their Grand Re-Opening this 3rd Friday at their new location 107 W. Main Street. Be sure to stop by and say hi, doors open at 5 p.m.
